“To live in the hearts we leave behind is not to die.” -Thomas Campbell
In the early morning hours of December 8th, 2012, a dear friend and the first leader we highlighted in our “Thought Leader” series passed away in a car accident. For those of us that had the good fortune of knowing Rohinish Hooda, his passing comes way too early for all he had yet to do and all those he had yet to impact. But, as in the words of Thomas Campbell, he will reside in our hearts forever. In some small way, we hope that by leaving his words posted, we help his wisdom live on. We do so in honor of his memory and out of deep respect for a man who touched so many.
Throughout his 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Rohinish Hooda was responsible for leading brands including Zantac, Visine, Benadryl, Sudafed, and Zyrtec. We were fortunate to work with Rohinish on several occasions, and saw first-hand his passion for developing leaders. In late 2012, Fresh Thinking asked Rohinish to tell us what he found most helpful in his development as a leader, as well how he approached leadership development as an organizational leader.
